TWG Legal is structured as a small firm on purpose. The attorneys who take on a matter are the attorneys who handle it. There is no layer of associates between the client and the lawyer responsible for the work, and no incentive to expand the scope of an engagement beyond what the client actually needs.

The firm takes on work only where it can provide genuinely useful counsel. That means turning matters away when they fall outside the firm's selected areas, and saying so directly when a particular course is not worth pursuing.

The firm's four principal practice areas are health law and regulatory counseling, intellectual property and technology, litigation and dispute resolution, and business consulting.
